Varicon are specialists in ac inverter drives, ups systems and power electronics. Emergency on-site repair is our core activity with contracted maintenance, plant upgrade and design consultancy services. Support services focus on electronic drives and uninterruptible power supplies that protect key processes. There is no substitute for the experience and expertise of Varicon engineers.

UPS Systems

UPS systems maintenance contracts are available, tailored to suit the operating conditions and known plant vulnerabilities. Fast preferential service is provided for all our contracted customers. On site emergency support is available around the clock with direct telephone numbers giving fast access outside office hours. Repairs can also be carried out in our workshops in Malvern by one of our experienced engineers.

Maintenance

Varicon offer annual service and maintenance contracts though out the UK. Where there are reliability concerns or where nuisance tripping occurs, Varicon can undertake a technical audit and service to resolve the problem. We offer single source problem solving for all makes of equipment and fast response at point of need. Service work can be arranged to suit customers production schedules. We are committed to offer an efficient and reliable maintenance service to all our customers.

Heenan Eddy Current Couplings

Heenan eddy current couplings are used throughout the manufacturing industry especially in automotive, bakery & food, wire, and metal processes, and as testament to their reliability; many are still in use today. From Varicon’s origins, we have provided service and repair of these drives, and we can still maintain these older drives today.

The popular VHO41 series and larger ACM912 & ACM 914 drives can be completely overhauled at our works in Malvern to prolong their working life.

The Heenan ID9001, low harmonic, high power inverter drives are still used, especially within the water Industry, and Varicon are probably the only company who can manufacture and supply parts to support these important drives. We can also undertake a ‘refurbishment’ to extend their operation by replacing aged components. Varicon will always endeavour to repair most drives, however where this is not practicable we can readily supply and install ‘retrofit’ replacements, utilising the existing MCC and controls significantly reducing the total cost to the customer.
